Quality Assurance system


This policy was prepared with the support of the QATEK Project (Toward the Preparation of Quality-Oriented Teachers in Kosovo) funded by the Erasmus Plus Program. The overall goal of the project is to develop a culture of quality in teacher training institutions to increase their professionalism in the school system in Kosovo. The project is financed by the ERASMUS+ Program and implemented by the Faculty of Education of the UP, in cooperation with the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), the University of Tallinn (Estonia), the LUMSA University in Rome (Italy), the University of Gjilan "Kadri Zeka", the University of Gjakova "Fehmi Agani", and the University of Mitrovica "Isa Boletini".

The overall purpose of this policy document is to provide a framework and implementation guidelines for teacher training institutions in Kosovo, introducing an internal quality assurance system for pre-service teacher training. This document aims to provide a frame of reference for pre-service teacher preparation institutions in aligning programs and institutional practices in order to ensure that pre-service teacher preparation practices lead to the development of the required teacher professionalism in the school context. local and international. The policy provides a framework that sets benchmarks for pre-service teacher preparation program standards, as well as describes processes and instruments that lead to the identification of areas for improvement, thereby enabling institutional action to improve existing practices.
