Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rozafa Ferizi Shala has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Education, University of Prishtina, since 2008. She completed her doctoral studies in Early Childhood Education at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana, Albania.

Her research work focuses on methodologies in early childhood education, learning environments, collaboration with parents and the community, pedagogical practice, and reflective practice among pre-service students. She has participated in national and international conferences and has published in her field of research. She is also a trainer in several professional development programs for in-service teachers.

From 2015 to 2017, she served as Coordinator for Academic Development at the Faculty of Education. From 2018 to 2024, she was Head of the Preschool Department at the Faculty of Education.

The Vice Dean manages three Bachelor-level programmes: Preschool Education, Primary Education, and Pedagogy (with a total of approximately 2,150 students). The role also includes overseeing the work of department heads and departmental secretaries.

The main responsibilities of the Vice Dean include:

  • Supervising the implementation of Bachelor (BA) programmes.

  • In cooperation with department heads, preparing for approval the overview of academic staff engagement in teaching.

  • In accordance with the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) of the respective programme, reviewing and approving syllabi prepared by academic staff.

  • In collaboration with department heads and administrative staff, and in coordination with Municipal Education Directorates, planning the implementation of school-based practicum.

  • In line with the Faculty of Education Study Regulations, and in cooperation with department heads, planning and overseeing the process of thesis preparation and defense, including: setting deadlines for thesis proposal submission and approval (several weeks or months prior to graduation), planning graduation committees, and supporting administrative processes related to thesis submission and exam registration forms.

  • Monitoring the delivery of teaching and providing feedback based on monitoring results and student feedback collected through surveys within the internal quality assurance system.

  • Organizing working meetings and seminars aimed at improving the quality of studies, Bachelor theses, and school-based practicum.

  • In cooperation with department heads, managing student requests related to transfer and recognition of courses, grades, and ECTS credits between programmes.

  • Serving as Co-Chair of the Studies Commission together with the Vice Dean for Master’s Studies.

  • Managing the planning of teaching schedules and examination timetables (in coordination with department heads).

  • Reporting periodically on all of the above processes to the Dean and the management team.
